Zen Cart Backup to Google Drive plugin for Zen Cart was built to help you simplify the process of creating your website backups. Some hosts charge an extra fee for these backups, or make it complicated for you to get them.
This plugin allows you to keep all of your backups in-house and under your control. Files are stored in your personal Google Drive account and only you have access to it.
Basic features:
- uses OAuth 2.0 to integrate with Google
- doesn't require external sources
- uses Google's access privileges to backup files
- restoring your website to a previous backup is stupid-simple
- can be combined with your test site for simple database and/or file transfers
Once installed, you can create a cron job (scheduled task) on your server and let backups be created automatically. You will only need to ensure your Google Drive has sufficient storage available.
Backups can be created manually from the admin area as well, whenever you need it.
